Appear to be "factory defects", January 28, 2010 : Signature Housewares Sorrento 11-Inch Dinner Plates, Ivory, Set of 6
I ordered these bowls and the 11-inch dinner plates in green, set of 6 each. These must be "factory defects" The bowls had missing color and glazing along some edges and the color from bowl to bowl varied; the plates had black circular marks within the color glazing, from the center out and the color from plate to plate varied. The plates and bowls themselves did not indicate that they are "oven safe" as was stated in the product description.
Needless to say I returned both immediately. I was surprised that Amazon sells these as they are totally unimpressive. The photo does not depict these substandard products as they really are.
Amazon did waive the return shipping charge of $15.58 that they were initially going to charge me, but upon receiving my request for reconsideration today they came through for me, and immediately. My reason for returning them was not because I simply did not like them, but because of the poor quality. Thanks Amazon. Our family will continue to be regular customers.
